Let us know how that works out for you, Judge

Our new county judge promised jobs, improved infrastructure and a decreased tax burden. Okay, he may not have explicitly promised these things but the Tea Party Republicans in Milam County certainly believe he ran on that kind of platform, and the fella at the top of the local ticket — Rep. John Carter — did explicitly promise these things.

It will be very interesting to see how Judge Barkemeyer balances the realities of reduced state funding and unfunded mandates against the pipe dreams of those “fiscal conservatives” who’ve been rattling everyone’s cage for the past year or so but without whose help, he would never have been elected.

Better county roads? Reduced taxes? New jobs? Good luck, Judge … and I really mean that!

Amen Brother Stone! And Dave did in fact promise new jobs. Heard the words straight from the horses mouth. Also know he is tremendously disappointed that Velocita fell through. Guess he will have to learn that pie in the sky doesn’t create jobs.
